MORNING NAP

Papa, a morning nap can replace a good night's sleep, I promise!

  1. I love seeing him curled up on his side like that. Can't you tell, Papa, Buddy's saying you could be snoozing, too. Catching your breath just in case you, too, need to be able to skip a good nights sleep. Pops

  2. I posted earlier but apparently didn't make it through the grill but I love this Ellison always and get such a kick out of him rolling onto his side for some snooze time while Papa sees and seizes the opportunity to catch a pic of the boy lined up nearly perfectly, lines of blanket and pajamas -- this is paradise, not prison..

  3. This pose is very familiar...one day I may find the photo of Adrienne sleeping in the same pose. It was however your comment about using a nap to replace a good night's sleep that took me back to the Adrienne photo that was taken after she had worn us all out with her non-sleep. Exhausted and relieved, her grandmother looked at her and quoted from Felicia Heman's poem Bernado del Caprio....."The warrior bowed his crested head, and tamed his heart of fire".
The poem itself is terrifying, but that one line, perfectly described the intensity of this nap-slumber that tiny E and his Aunty A shared
