SCENES FROM A DAYCARE

It's been a long, long time since I've updated the blog -- which saddens me. I do hope to be a bit better about it in coming months. For now, here are some shots taken by one of Ellison's amazing caregivers at the fantastic Little House Montessori School where the boy spends hours every week day. He loves it, and he has such good friends there. It's been a great joy in our life to see him flourish at Little House, and the women there -- all of them -- are astounding.

Most of these pics (all of them?) were taken over three or four months by Simone, who goes by "Auntie" at school. It's a little confusing for Ellison because he does have another Auntie Simone, of course, but he manages to keep 'em straight....

Far too many children do not receive the good care that our child does. We understand this, and it saddens us. Why can't we as a society recognize and -- more importantly -- act on the belief that nothing matters more than taking good care of our children? Feeding their bodies and their minds and their spirits must be our greatest calling. We recognize how fortunate we are, and we are grateful.

Here are some wonderful pics of our lucky kid....
