CONTINUED FURTHER SCENES FROM A DAYCARE

Such good pics from Auntie Simone at Little House!

This is one of my favorite pics of the boy. Can't quite say why, but it seems to capture some element of his nature that I adore, an element that is pretty private and not always on display. I don't know. Maybe he just looks cute in it....

FURTHER SCENES FROM A DAYCARE

With ongoing thanks to the wonderful Auntie Simone at Little House. She almost always sends a pic or two every couple of days. Warms our hearts....

SCENES FROM A DAYCARE (CON'T)

More pics from Little House (thanks to our dear friend Auntie Simone). She's a miracle....

Yoga Baby

Yoga Baby (Auntie teaches yoga to the students, and Elli is one of the few who really seems into it!)

Yoga Baby Con't

Elli and his pal Louis, showing us all up!

The kid loves to work. Jamaican Justice.

And play. He loves to play, too. Jamaican Justice Redux.

RETURN OF THE SUPERTUTOR

Shameless. Shameless, I say. I've been using the boy as a beautiful prop in my ongoing Writing Center promotions. Here he is, reprising his role as SuperTutor!

Enjoy....

SCENES FROM A DAYCARE

It's been a long, long time since I've updated the blog -- which saddens me. I do hope to be a bit better about it in coming months. For now, here are some shots taken by one of Ellison's amazing caregivers at the fantastic Little House Montessori School where the boy spends hours every week day. He loves it, and he has such good friends there. It's been a great joy in our life to see him flourish at Little House, and the women there -- all of them -- are astounding.

Most of these pics (all of them?) were taken over three or four months by Simone, who goes by "Auntie" at school. It's a little confusing for Ellison because he does have another Auntie Simone, of course, but he manages to keep 'em straight....

Far too many children do not receive the good care that our child does. We understand this, and it saddens us. Why can't we as a society recognize and -- more importantly -- act on the belief that nothing matters more than taking good care of our children? Feeding their bodies and their minds and their spirits must be our greatest calling. We recognize how fortunate we are, and we are grateful.

Here are some wonderful pics of our lucky kid....
